This Includes Knowledge Of Engine, Transmission, Electrical, And Computer Systems, As Well As The Ability To Utilize Diagnostic Equipment And Software.
Experience In Overnight Shifts: Due To The Specific Work Schedule Of This Position, It Is Important That Candidates Have Experience Working Overnight Shifts, Preferably In An Automotive Repair Environment. This Demonstrates The Ability To Work Efficiently And Effectively During Non-Traditional Business Hours.
Time Management And Prioritization Skills: As An Overnight Automotive Technician At Carmax, It Is Essential To Be Able To Manage Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks To Ensure That All Repairs Are Completed Within The Designated Shift. This Includes Being Able To Work On Multiple Vehicles At Once And Completing Repairs In A Timely Manner.
Teamwork And Communication: Working As Part Of A Team Is Crucial In The Automotive Industry, And This Role Is No Exception. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Technicians And Team Members, As Well As Provide Support And Assistance When Needed.
Ase Certification: While Not Required, Candidates With Ase (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications Demonstrate A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In Automotive Repair.
