- Develop and implement strategic plans for VAT compliance in Belgium and Netherlands, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee all VAT related activities, including registration, reporting, and payment, in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations in Belgium and Netherlands and advise on potential impact to the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely VAT reporting and compliance.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities, representing the company in VAT audits and inquiries.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on VAT related matters, serving as the subject matter expert for Belgium and Netherlands tax laws.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to streamline VAT operations and ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in cross-company projects and initiatives related to VAT compliance, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in VAT management and share knowledge with the team.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Vat Regulations And Laws In Belgium And Netherlands: The Vat Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Complex And Ever-Changing Vat Laws And Regulations In Both Countries To Ensure Compliance And Minimize The Company's Tax Liabilities.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Vat Management: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Vat Processes And Compliance, Preferably In A Multi-National Company Or Consulting Firm.
Fluency In Dutch And English: As This Role Involves Managing Vat Processes In Both Belgium And Netherlands, Fluency In Both Dutch And English Languages Is Essential.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Vat Manager Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Potential Risks Or Opportunities To Optimize Vat Processes And Minimize Tax Liabilities.
Experience In Managing Cross-Functional Teams: This Role Involves Working Closely With Various Departments, Such As Finance, Legal, And Tax, To Ensure Proper Vat Compliance.
