- Develop and implement profitable trading strategies for tropical oils commodities, in alignment with Cargill's overall business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and competitor activities to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Conduct thorough market research and maintain a deep understanding of the tropical oils market to inform trading decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to support trading activities and negotiate favorable terms.
- Manage a portfolio of tropical oils derivatives contracts, including purchasing, selling, and hedging.
- Monitor and manage the performance of existing contracts to ensure profitable outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of trading activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to tropical oils trading and ensure adherence to them.
- Represent Cargill in industry events and conferences to network and promote the company's trading capabilities.
- Mentor and train junior traders, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge in tropical oils trading.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize trading strategies and processes to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on market trends, trading activities, and performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues or challenges that may impact trading activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all trading activities and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Uphold Cargill's values and code of conduct in all interactions and adhere to ethical and legal standards in trading activities.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Trading Tropical Oils, Including But Not Limited To Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, And Cocoa Butter.
Strong Understanding Of Commodity Derivatives And The Ability To Analyze Market Trends And Make Informed Trading Decisions.
Excellent Negotiation And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers, Customers, And Other Traders.
Familiarity With Global Trade Regulations And Compliance Requirements, As Well As Risk Management Strategies.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing A Portfolio Of Tropical Oils And Delivering Profitable Results In A Fast-Paced And Competitive Market Environment.
