Job Description

As a Shutdown Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of plant shutdowns.   1. Develop and maintain a detailed shutdown plan for each plant, ensuring all necessary tasks and resources are identified and allocated appropriately.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to gather information and create a comprehensive shutdown schedule that minimizes downtime and maximizes efficiency.
  3. Monitor and track progress of shutdown activities, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
  4. Plan and coordinate shutdown logistics, including equipment and materials procurement, contractor scheduling, and shutdown communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigating them during shutdowns.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during shutdowns, taking necessary actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  7. Utilize maintenance management systems to track maintenance activities and identify opportunities for improvement in shutdown planning and execution.
  8. Continuously analyze shutdown data and metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
  9. Train and mentor junior shutdown planners to develop their skills and enhance the overall effectiveness of the shutdown planning team.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements related to shutdown planning and implement them as appropriate.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Industrial Maintenance Planning: Candidates For A Shutdown Planner Job At Cargill Should Have A Strong Background In Industrial Maintenance Planning, Including Knowledge Of Equipment And Machinery, Scheduling, And Budgeting.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Procedures: As Shutdowns Involve Potentially Hazardous Work, Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures, Including Experience Developing And Implementing Safety Plans.
