  1. Conduct regular audits of retail meat operations to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  2. Develop and maintain audit plans and schedules to ensure all facilities are audited on a timely basis.
  3. Identify and report any areas of non-compliance or potential risks to food safety and quality.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to implement corrective actions and follow-up on audit findings.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards to ensure audits are conducted in accordance with current guidelines.
  6. Train and mentor new auditors and provide guidance and support to existing team members.
  7. Communicate effectively with facility management and staff to explain audit findings and recommendations.
  8. Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and improve food safety and quality procedures.
  9. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
  10. Prepare detailed reports and documentation of audit findings and corrective actions taken.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of new food safety and quality initiatives.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of all audit information and adhere to ethical standards.
  13. Travel to various retail meat facilities to conduct audits as needed.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve audit processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on food safety and quality regulations and provide guidance to other departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Meat Science, Food Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Meat Processing Or Retail Meat Operations.

  • Knowledge Of Government Regulations And Industry Standards For Food Safety And Quality.

  • Certification As A Haccp Or Sqf Practitioner.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Communicate Areas For Improvement In Meat Production Processes.
