  1. Develop and drive the data platform strategy for Cargill, keeping in mind the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of skilled engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful execution of projects.
  3. Design and build a robust and scalable data platform that can handle large volumes of data and support various data analytics and reporting needs.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and proactively identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the data platform.
  6. Ensure the security and integrity of the data platform by implementing best practices and adhering to data governance policies.
  7. Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the data platform and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  8. Define and maintain technical standards and processes for data platform development and ensure adherence to them.
  9. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to other teams on data platform-related matters.
  10. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel motivated and empowered to bring their best ideas forward.
  11. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the data platform's performance and reliability.
  12. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and gather feedback.
  13. Act as a liaison between the data team and other business units, building strong working relationships and promoting effective communication.

  • Extensive Experience In Data Engineering And Database Management: The Ideal Candidate For A Principal Platform Engineer- Data Position At Cargill Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Engineering Concepts, As Well As Hands-On Experience With Various Database Management Systems.
