- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy that aligns with Cargill's business goals and values.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact Cargill's operations and provide timely updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for government inquiries and requests for information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Cargill to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and advocacy efforts.
- Represent Cargill at industry events, conferences, and meetings with government officials.
- Provide guidance and support to regional teams on government relations issues and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis on relevant policy issues and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and participate in industry associations and trade groups to stay informed and influence policy decisions.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to senior leadership to inform decision making.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in government relations and share knowledge with the team.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional image of Cargill in all interactions with government officials and stakeholders.
- Travel as needed to represent Cargill and fulfill job responsibilities.
