- Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures in alignment with company standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to effectively respond to any potential safety or environmental incidents.
- Monitor and analyze safety and environmental data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations related to safety and environmental practices.
- Partner with management to develop and implement safety and environmental goals and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to stay informed on safety and environmental regulations and industry trends.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to prevent potential safety and environmental hazards.
- Provide guidance and support to site leadership and employees on safety and environmental matters.
- Participate in safety and environmental committees and meetings.
- Communicate safety and environmental updates and initiatives to all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a role model for safety and environmental stewardship and promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Agricultural Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Safety Standards.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols.
Experience Conducting Risk Assessments And Implementing Safety Programs To Prevent Accidents And Maintain Compliance.
