Job Description

Cargill is seeking an experienced Energy Buyer to join our team and play a critical role in our efforts to source renewable energy. As an Energy Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying and securing cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions for our global operations.   1. Identify and evaluate potential renewable energy suppliers based on cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
  2. Negotiate favorable contracts and pricing terms with renewable energy suppliers.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with renewable energy suppliers and industry experts.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions related to renewable energy procurement.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand energy needs and develop strategies to meet sustainability goals.
  6. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new and innovative renewable energy solutions.
  7. Manage and track renewable energy purchase contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Monitor energy market trends and make recommendations for optimization and cost savings.
  9. Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on renewable energy procurement strategies.
  10. Prepare and present reports and updates on renewable energy procurement activities to senior management.
  11. Participate in industry conferences and events to stay informed on best practices and new developments in renewable energy procurement.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve renewable energy procurement processes to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  13. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and approve contractual terms and agreements.
  14. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to renewable energy procurement.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on sustainable energy and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Energy Procurement, Preferably In The Agricultural Or Food Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Energy Markets, Pricing Trends, And Risk Management Strategies.

  • Excellent Negotiation And Communication Skills.

  • Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Data, Make Strategic Decisions, And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
