- Develop and implement a strategic vision for application development that aligns with the overall business goals and objectives of Cargill.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of critical applications, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of application developers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to help them grow and achieve their full potential.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the application development team, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure Cargill remains at the forefront of technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT infrastructure, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of application development efforts.
- Develop and manage the application development budget, making strategic decisions to optimize resources and maximize ROI.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact application development projects, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the application development team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies, providing recommendations and guidance on how they can be leveraged to enhance Cargill's application development capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between the application development team and senior leadership, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors, leveraging their expertise and resources to support Cargill's application development needs.
- Remain compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring data security, privacy, and intellectual property protection.
- Lead by example, embodying Cargill's values and promoting a culture of diversity, inclusion, and ethical behavior.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Application Development Methodologies, Technologies, And Tools Such As Agile, Java, .Net, And Cloud Computing.
Strong Business Acumen And Ability To Align Application Development Strategies With Overall Company Objectives.
Excellent Leadership, Communication, And Collaboration Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing High-Performing Teams.
