
Cost Accounting Manager
Manages a group of professional cost accounting personnel by providing technical guidance, expertise and assistance for work performed in the Accounting Operations Department. Providing guidance to Accounts Payable and Expense Management areas related to invoice, journal entries, etc. types of transaction coding relevant to cost allocations. Participates on technical workgroup panels facilitated by the FEP Director’s Office on cost accounting matters and sponsored by the Sherlock Company on Health Plan Administrative Expense Benchmarking Services. Reviews cost data, outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with corporate and department policies. Responsible for user support of accounting system upgrades and new releases.
8 to 10 years of demonstrated progressive work experience in Cost Accounting
CPA licensure and/or MBA are a plus.
Knowledge of BCBS Plan System health insurance operations and financial accounting a plus.
