Hard Skills
Hard skills are the tangible abilities that you need to be a successful Retail Sales Associate. These skills are often learned through education or training.
• Knowledge of Products: To be successful, you must have an in-depth knowledge of the products you are selling. You must be able to explain the features and benefits of each product to customers.
• Computer Skills: You must be proficient in using computers to enter orders, check inventory, and process payments.
• Math Skills: You must be able to quickly add, subtract, and calculate percentages.
• Cash Handling: You must be able to accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
Soft Skills
