Responsibilities of a Bridal Gown Designer
As a Bridal Gown Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful, unique gowns for brides-to-be. You must have a passion for creating high-quality garments and be willing to work hard to produce the best possible design.
Your main responsibilities as a Bridal Gown Designer will include:
• Designing and creating original bridal gowns from concept to finished product.
• Developing and refining sketches of bridal gowns based on customer’s desired style and measurements.
• Working with fabrics, laces, beading and sequins to create stunning bridal gowns.
• Liaising with customers to ensure their bridal gowns meet their expectations.
• Sourcing appropriate materials for gowns.
• Making alterations or repairs to gowns as needed.
• Keeping up with fashion trends to ensure your gowns are stylish and up-to-date.
• Working within budgets and to deadlines.
• Maintaining a portfolio of your work to show potential customers.
• Keeping up to date with the latest fabrics and designs.
• Networking with other bridal companies and boutiques.
