Skills Required of an Agronomist
Agronomists require a multitude of skills to succeed in their field. They must possess a strong understanding of plant science, soil science, climate change, pest management, and agricultural economics. In addition to these scientific knowledge areas, they must also possess strong problem solving skills, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Agronomists must have a deep understanding of the local environment and climate conditions in order to evaluate the potential success of a particular crop or farming practice.
