- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Capital One's cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Identity and Access Management (IAM) to ensure the security of Capital One's systems and data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative IAM solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in the cybersecurity field to continuously improve our IAM strategy
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance and support in implementing IAM solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Proactively identify potential cybersecurity threats and develop mitigation strategies to protect Capital One's sensitive information
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of security awareness and education throughout the organization
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigating and remediating security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Extensive Experience In Information Security: The Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Information Security, With A Strong Emphasis On Cybersecurity Architecture And Identity And Access Management (Iam).
In-Depth Knowledge Of Iam Technologies: A Sr Distinguished Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Iam Technologies And Best Practices, Such As Identity And Access Governance, Single Sign-On (Sso), Multi-Factor Authentication (Mfa), And Identity As A Service (Idaas).
Strong Technical Background: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background With Hands-On Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Managing Complex Iam Systems. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Software Development, Cloud Computing, And Network Security.
Leadership And Strategic Thinking: The Sr Distinguished Engineer Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing Large-Scale Iam Projects. They Should Also Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Align Cybersecurity Architecture With Business Objectives.
Industry Certifications: The Candidate Should Hold Relevant Industry Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Crisc, Demonstrating Their Expertise And Commitment To The Field Of Information Security. These Certifications Also Serve As A Validation Of The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In Cybersecurity Architecture And Iam.
