  1. Design and develop high-quality and scalable backend systems and applications for financial products and services.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  4. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software engineering, and apply them to improve our processes and products.
  6. Mentor junior team members and help them grow in their technical skills and knowledge.
  7. Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and products.
  8. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.
  9. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our systems.
  10. Continuously improve and optimize the performance of our backend systems.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and progress on projects.
  12. Take ownership of projects and drive them to completion within given timelines.
  13. Proactively identify and suggest solutions to potential roadblocks or challenges.
  14. Adhere to coding standards and best practices to maintain high-quality code.
  15. Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and implement them.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Backend Development: A Senior Software Engineer, Backend At Capital One Must Have A Strong Background In Backend Development, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Projects Using Various Programming Languages And Frameworks.

  • Proficiency In System Design And Architecture: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of System Design Principles And Architecture Patterns.
