At Capital One, our Senior Software Engineers are integral members of our development team. As an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Back End (Spark, Python, SQL) you will have an opportunity to work on complex projects and help us deliver innovative solutions. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our back end systems, which are built on Spark, Python, and SQL technologies.You will need a deep understanding of Spark, Python, and SQL technologies, and experience leading back end development projects. You must be able to collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver features and services that meet customer needs. You should also have a solid understanding of software engineering best practices and have the ability to troubleshoot complex problems.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about technology and eager to make a difference. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain back end systems built on Spark, Python, and SQL technologies.
  • Lead back end development projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver features and services that meet customer needs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex problems.
  • Ensure software engineering best practices are followed.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technologies and industry trends.
