  1. Design and develop high-quality, efficient and scalable software applications for Capital One.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  3. Utilize best practices and modern technologies to create innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  4. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure high-quality and error-free software.
  5. Maintain and update existing software applications, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  7. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  8. Mentor and guide junior team members to help them grow and develop their skills.
  9. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  10. Proactively identify and address any potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery.
  11. Collaborate with other teams, such as front-end and data engineering, to ensure seamless integration of software components.
  12. Continuously strive for process improvement and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices within the team.
  13. Communicate project progress and any roadblocks to team leaders and project managers.
  14. Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  15. Uphold and promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Back-End Development: A Senior Software Engineer At Capital One Should Have A Strong Background In Building And Maintaining Complex Back-End Systems, Including Experience With Server-Side Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or Ruby.

  • Proficiency In Database Design And Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Concepts And Be Able To Design Efficient And Scalable Data Structures. Experience With Sql And Nosql Databases Is Also Important.

  • Knowledge Of Cloud Computing: Capital One Is A Leading Tech Company That Heavily Relies On Cloud Computing For Its Operations. A Senior Software Engineer Should Have Experience With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud, And Be Familiar With The Latest Cloud Technologies And Services.
