Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Back End (Golang, AWS) to join our team at Capital One and help us drive the development of our innovative products. Our successful candidate will possess an extraordinary combination of software engineering and technical skills, be driven to make an impact, and have a passion for using their talents to solve complex problems. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, be a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, and possess a thorough understanding of GoLang and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to lead teams to success. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using GoLang and AWS.
  2. Lead and mentor other engineers in developing software products.
  3. Troubleshoot and debug software applications.
  4. Work with other team members to ensure product quality and performance standards are met.
  5. Analyze and recommend software development technologies and techniques.
  6. Develop and implement software engineering best practices.
  7. Maintain code quality and ensure all software development is well-documented and secure.
  8. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.
  9. Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define and deliver software projects.
  10. Monitor software performance and optimize when necessary.
