  1. Lead the development and implementation of data solutions that support business decisions and strategies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
  3. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data warehousing systems.
  4. Ensure data quality and accuracy through regular monitoring and troubleshooting.
  5. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data engineering, and make recommendations for new tools and technologies to improve processes.
  6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the data engineering team.
  7. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and data scientists.
  9. Collaborate with data scientists to enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
  10. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of data solutions.
  11. Regularly communicate updates and progress to senior leadership.
  12. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve data processes and procedures.
  14. Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training of new team members.
  15. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data engineering team.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Data Engineering: A Senior Manager At Capital One Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Data Engineering, With A Strong Understanding Of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, And Data Warehousing.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Data Engineers. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading And Developing High-Performing Teams.

  • Expertise In Big Data Technologies: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Big Data Technologies Such As Hadoop, Spark, And Nosql Databases. They Should Also Have Experience In Data Pipeline Development And Etl Processes.
