  1. Lead and manage a team of software engineers to develop and maintain high-quality front-end applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions for our customers.
  3. Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies and trends, and apply them to enhance our products.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  5. Plan and prioritize project tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality code.
  6. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  7. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, and propose effective solutions.
  8. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  9. Drive innovation and contribute to the development of new features and products.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and security of our applications.
  11. Stay informed about industry best practices and trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical expertise and guidance to other teams within the organization.
  13. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate their services and technologies into our products.
  14. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes to build a strong and diverse team.
  15. Uphold and promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Front-End Development: A Senior Lead Software Engineer At Capital One Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Complex Front-End Applications Using Industry-Standard Technologies Such As Html, Css, Javascript, And React.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead A Team Of Developers And Collaborate With Product Managers And Designers To Deliver High-Quality Software Solutions. As Such, Candidates Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing Projects From Conception To Completion.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Web Development Best Practices: Capital One Values Candidates Who Are Familiar With Modern Web Development Practices And Have A Deep Understanding Of Responsive Design, Accessibility, And Cross-Browser Compatibility. They Should Also Be Able To Optimize Front-End Performance For Better User Experience.

  • Experience With Agile Methodologies: Capital One Follows Agile Methodologies In Its Software Development Process. As A Result, Candidates Should Have Experience Working In An Agile Environment, Using Tools Such As Jira, And Be Able To Adapt To Changing Project Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Senior Lead Software Engineer Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Technical Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Have Experience Working In Cross-Functional Teams And Be Able To Collaborate With Other Engineers To Solve Complex Problems.
