- Develop and implement cloud architecture and engineering strategies for Capital One, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and goals.
- Lead a team of engineers and architects to drive innovation and efficiency in our cloud infrastructure.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the cloud architecture and engineering team, including resource allocation and project prioritization.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on cloud technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and incorporate them into the cloud strategy.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for adoption to enhance Capital One's cloud capabilities.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure by implementing and enforcing best practices and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to leverage their expertise and resources for our cloud initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization efforts to enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and development of the cloud architecture and engineering team to build a high-performing, motivated, and diverse workforce.
- Develop and manage the budget for the cloud architecture and engineering department.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and execute a long-term cloud strategy that aligns with the overall business vision.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to cloud architecture and engineering, and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
