- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant regulatory requirements and updates in the financial industry.
- Proactively monitor and assess potential regulatory risks and issues that may impact the company.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance, to ensure alignment with regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all regulatory agencies and facilitate communication and information requests.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements and compliance enhancements.
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory filings and reports accurately and on time.
- Train and educate employees on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
- Participate in regulatory exams and audits and assist in the resolution of any findings.
- Maintain a strong relationship with regulatory agencies and serve as a liaison between them and the company.
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscape and communicate potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations and incorporate them into compliance strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans to address potential compliance issues.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to senior management on regulatory matters.
- Represent the company in regulatory meetings and conferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all regulatory communications and actions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the company's regulatory compliance program.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Regulatory Affairs, Business Administration, Or Public Policy.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Regulatory Affairs Role, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations, Including But Not Limited To, Consumer Protection Laws, Banking Laws, And Data Privacy Laws.
Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Regulations And Apply Them To Business Operations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Liaise With Internal Stakeholders, Regulatory Agencies, And External Partners.
