We are seeking a driven and innovative Product Manager for our Observability & Governance team to help us build and enhance our cutting-edge technology products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our products and drive their success by ensuring they meet the highest standards of observability and governance. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for product management and a deep understanding of observability and governance principles.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the Observability & Governance products, aligned with the overall company mission and goals.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and trends, and use this information to drive product innovation and improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and user stories, and ensure their timely and successful delivery.
  4. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the products.
  5. Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify potential opportunities and threats, and make recommendations for product enhancements to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  6. Lead and facilitate product planning and prioritization discussions with stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and designers.
  7. Regularly communicate product updates, progress, and plans to internal and external stakeholders, including customers and partners.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for product strategy and roadmap.
  9. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the user experience of the products.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements for the products.
  11. Mentor and coach junior product team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  12. Act as an advocate for the products, promoting their value and benefits both internally and externally.
  13. Proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact the success of the products.
  14. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in observability and governance principles, and incorporate them into the product strategy and roadmap.
  15. Continuously gather and analyze customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and inform future product development.
  16. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute product launch plans and go-to-market strategies.
  17. Manage product budgets and resources effectively to ensure successful product delivery.
  18. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product team.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Observability And Governance Principles: A Product Manager For Observability & Governance At Capital One Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Observability And Governance Techniques, Tools, And Frameworks. This Includes Knowledge Of Monitoring, Logging, Tracing, And Other Observability Methods, As Well As Compliance, Security, And Risk Management Principles.

  • Experience In Product Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Previous Experience In Product Management, Preferably In The Technology Or Financial Industry. They Should Have A Solid Track Record Of Managing The End-To-End Product Lifecycle, From Ideation To Launch, And Have A Strong Understanding Of Agile Methodologies.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: As A Product Manager For Observability & Governance, It Is Crucial To Have A Data-Driven Mindset And Be Comfortable Working With Large Datasets. The Candidate Should Be Able To Use Data To Make Informed Decisions, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Measure The Success Of Product Initiatives.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Requires Working With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineers, Designers, Data Scientists, And Business Stakeholders. The Candidate Should Be An Excellent Communicator And Collaborator, Able To Bridge The Gap Between Technical And Non-Technical Teams And Effectively Convey Product Vision And Strategy.

  • Leadership And Strategic Thinking: A Product Manager At Capital One Should Be A Strong Leader With A Strategic Mindset. They Should Be Able To Set A Product Vision, Prioritize Initiatives, And Make Tough Decisions To Drive The Product Forward. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Anticipate Market Trends And Customer Needs To Develop A Long-Term Product Roadmap.
