- Lead training and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of privacy compliance within the organization.
- Respond to privacy-related inquiries and complaints from customers and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with privacy policies and procedures.
- Identify and address potential privacy vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
- Stay informed about emerging privacy trends and make recommendations for organizational improvements.
- Ensure that all privacy practices align with company values and ethical standards.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data processing agreements and vendor privacy assessments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy-related matters for the organization.
Extensive Knowledge Of Privacy Laws And Regulations: This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Federal Laws Such As The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Glba) And The Health Insurance Portability And Accountability Act (Hipaa), As Well As State-Level Laws Like The California Consumer Privacy Act (Ccpa) And The General Data Protection Regulation (Gdpr) In The European Union.
Experience Developing And Implementing Privacy Policies And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Creating And Rolling Out Comprehensive Privacy Policies And Procedures That Align With Industry Best Practices And Regulatory Requirements.
Strong Project Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Individual Will Likely Oversee A Team And Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Projects Related To Privacy Compliance. They Should Have Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills To Ensure That All Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And On Time.
