- Develop and implement data science strategies and solutions to support the goals and objectives of the Commercial Banking Data Science team.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of data-driven models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data science projects that align with business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science to continuously improve and enhance our data capabilities.
- Communicate and present complex data insights and findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization in a clear and impactful manner.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other data scientists on the team.
- Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to drive collaboration and support for data science initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the data science team to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct research and experimentation to identify new data sources and techniques that can enhance our data capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation and best practices for data science processes and procedures.

Advanced Degree In Data Science Or Related Field: A Principal Data Scientist At Capital One Should Have A Master's Or Phd Degree In Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Or A Related Field. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Foundation For Understanding Complex Data And Applying Advanced Analytical Techniques.
Extensive Experience In Commercial Banking And Financial Services: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Commercial Banking Industry And The Financial Services Sector. This Includes Knowledge Of Banking Products, Customer Segments, And Industry Trends.
Proficiency In Programming And Data Analytics Tools: A Principal Data Scientist At Capital One Should Have A Strong Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Python, R, And Sql. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Data Visualization Tools And Techniques, Such As Tableau, To Effectively Communicate Insights To Stakeholders.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Is Able To Think Critically And Analytically To Solve Complex Business Problems. They Should Be Able To Identify Patterns And Trends In Data, And Use That Information To Drive Strategic Decision-Making.
