  1. Develop and maintain software solutions using Python and AWS for Capital One's financial services.
  2. Collaborate with team members to design and implement innovative and efficient software solutions.
  3. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve and enhance Capital One's technology.
  4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  5. Ensure all software development meets industry standards and best practices.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a timely manner.
  7. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  8. Proactively identify and suggest improvements to current processes and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide project updates and discuss any challenges or roadblocks.
  10. Maintain documentation for all software solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  11. Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work within set deadlines.
  12. Adhere to security and compliance standards while developing software solutions.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert for Python and AWS within the team and provide guidance and support to junior developers.
  14. Continuously improve personal technical skills to stay updated with the latest technologies and tools.
  15. Embrace a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Python Programming Language: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Coding Skills In Python, Including Knowledge Of Data Structures, Algorithms, And Object-Oriented Programming Concepts.

  • Familiarity With Aws Services: The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Various Aws Services Such As Ec2, S3, Lambda, And Rds. They Should Have A Good Understanding Of Aws Architecture And Be Able To Deploy And Maintain Applications On Aws.

  • Knowledge Of Software Development Principles And Methodologies: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Software Development Principles, Including Agile Methodologies. They Should Be Able To Work In A Team And Follow Best Practices For Software Development.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Problems And Come Up With Efficient And Scalable Solutions. They Should Have A Strong Aptitude For Troubleshooting And Debugging Code.

  • Prior Experience In A Part-Time Role: The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Part-Time Software Engineering Role And Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively. They Should Be Able To Balance Multiple Projects And Meet Deadlines While Working Remotely.
