  1. Lead and manage a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining front-end applications and solutions for Capital One.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative and user-friendly front-end products.
  3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in front-end technologies, and actively incorporate them into the team's work.
  5. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team, identifying and implementing process improvements and new tools and technologies.
  6. Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  7. Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are met.
  8. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
  9. Act as a subject matter expert on front-end development, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
  10. Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting project goals.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting a growth mindset and encouraging continuous learning and development.
  12. Represent Capital One as a thought leader in front-end development at conferences, meetups, and other industry events.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Front-End Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Front-End Languages Such As Html, Css, And Javascript, As Well As Experience With Front-End Frameworks Like React, Angular, Or Vue.

  • Proven Leadership Skills: As A Lead Software Engineer, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Front-End Developers, Making Strategic Decisions, And Setting Technical Direction. Therefore, Strong Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Mentor And Guide Team Members, Are Crucial.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: The Lead Software Engineer Should Have A Strong Ability To Analyze Complex Technical Problems And Come Up With Effective Solutions. They Should Also Be Able To Think Creatively And Adapt To Changing Requirements Or Challenges.
