  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  2. Lead the DevOps team in implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance software development processes.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable systems.
  4. Define and continuously improve DevOps processes, tools, and methodologies.
  5. Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  6. Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
  8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps practices.
  10. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  11. Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  12. Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the development and deployment processes.
  13. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  14. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Lead Software Engineer, Devops At Capital One Should Have A Strong Background In Software Development, With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Building And Deploying Software Applications.

  • Proficiency In Devops Tools And Methodologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Experience With Tools Such As Jenkins, Docker, Puppet, And Chef. They Should Also Have Experience Implementing Devops Processes And Methodologies In Previous Roles.

  • Strong Technical Skills: A Lead Software Engineer, Devops Should Possess A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Multiple Programming Languages, Such As Java, Python, And Ruby. They Should Also Have Experience With Cloud Computing Technologies And Infrastructure, Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.

  • Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Software Engineers And Devops Specialists. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, The Ability To Mentor And Guide Team Members, And Experience In Project Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: To Succeed In This Role, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills.
