You will lead a team of talented learning professionals and partner with business leaders to identify training needs, develop and deliver effective learning solutions, and measure the impact of our programs.To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record of designing and implementing innovative learning solutions, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.   1. Develop and implement the overall learning and development strategy for the designated line of business at Capital One.
  2. Lead and manage a team of learning professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with business leaders to identify learning needs and create effective solutions to support the growth and development of associates.
  4. Design and deliver innovative and engaging learning programs, leveraging a variety of delivery methods and technologies.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and external vendors to ensure the highest quality of learning content.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to continuously enhance the effectiveness of our programs.
  8. Develop and manage the learning and development budget for the designated line of business.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the designated line of business.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on learning initiatives.
  11. Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to measure the impact of learning programs on business outcomes.
  12. Serve as a thought leader and internal consultant on learning and development-related topics.
  13. Provide guidance and support to associates at all levels within the designated line of business to promote a culture of learning and development.
  14. Collaborate with HR and other departments to align learning and development initiatives with company-wide goals and objectives.
  15. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to learning and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Learning And Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Learning And Development, With A Strong Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Effective Learning Programs.

  • Proven Leadership Skills: As A Director, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Learning And Development Professionals. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, With A Demonstrated Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members Towards Achieving Organizational Goals.

  • Strategic Mindset: The Director Should Have A Strategic Mindset, With The Ability To Align Learning And Development Initiatives With The Overall Business Goals Of The Organization. They Should Be Able To Identify Key Learning Needs And Design Targeted Programs To Address Them.

  • Strong Business Acumen: Capital One Is A Financial Institution, And The Director Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Business And Industry. They Should Be Able To Use This Knowledge To Design Learning Programs That Are Relevant, Practical, And Impactful.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Director Will Be Required To Work Closely With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization, From Line Managers To Senior Executives.
