- Develop and implement strategies to identify, mitigate, and prevent financial crimes, including money laundering, fraud, and cyber threats.
- Lead and manage a team of financial crime intelligence and analysis professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques used by criminals to commit financial crimes, and utilize this knowledge to continuously improve our strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to financial crime prevention.
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement in our systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies and industry associations, to stay informed on emerging threats and share best practices.
- Regularly report to senior management on the status of financial crime intelligence and analysis efforts, including identifying trends, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training programs to educate employees on financial crime prevention and detection.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to financial crime prevention to ensure compliance.
- Drive a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization, promoting a zero-tolerance policy for financial crimes.
- Continuously assess and improve our financial crime prevention processes, utilizing technology and data analysis to enhance our capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on financial crime intelligence and analysis, providing guidance and support to other teams within the company as needed.
Extensive Knowledge Of Financial Crime Prevention And Detection Strategies: A Director Of Financial Crime Intelligence & Analysis At Capital One Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Financial Crimes, Such As Money Laundering, Fraud, And Terrorist Financing. They Should Also Be Familiar With Industry Regulations And Best Practices For Preventing And Detecting These Crimes.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Patterns And Trends Is Crucial For This Role. A Director Of Financial Crime Intelligence & Analysis Should Be Able To Use Advanced Analytical Tools And Techniques To Identify Potential Financial Crime Risks And Develop Effective Mitigation Strategies.
Experience In Intelligence Gathering And Analysis: This Role Requires Experience In Collecting, Evaluating, And Interpreting Intelligence From Various Sources, Including Internal And External Databases, Open-Source Information, And Law Enforcement Agencies. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Intelligence Analysis Techniques And Be Able To Present Findings In A Clear And Concise Manner.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Director At Capital One, This Role Will Involve Leading And Managing A Team Of Analysts And Investigators. The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Role, With The Ability To Motivate And Guide Their Team To Achieve Departmental Goals And Objectives.
