- Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage and mitigate cyber security risks within the organization.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cyber Security Operations Center and ensure that all security incidents are properly identified, addressed, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to promote a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and best practices, and use this knowledge to continually improve and enhance the CSOC's capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure that security controls and processes are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of the CSOC to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any identified gaps or weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies, vendors, and industry peers, to improve the organization's security posture.
- Manage the CSOC budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses, to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Communicate and report on security incidents, threats, and trends to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the CSOC, providing training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and abilities.
