
Design (User) Researcher (Manager)

- Lead and manage all user research efforts to inform and guide the design of Capital One's products and services.
- Develop and implement research strategies and methodologies to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including surveys, interviews, and usability tests, to gather user feedback and validate design decisions.
- Analyze and synthesize research findings to identify key insights and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user research is integrated into the design process.
- Mentor and guide a team of user researchers, providing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in user-centered design and research, and proactively bring new ideas and approaches to the team.
- Advocate for the user and ensure that their needs and perspectives are considered in all design decisions.
- Work closely with data analysts to leverage data and analytics to supplement user research findings.
- Communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, to influence product and design decisions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the user research process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity of thought and promotes innovation in user research.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In User Research, With At Least 3 Years In A Managerial Or Leadership Role.
Proven Track Record Of Executing End-To-End User Research Projects, From Planning And Recruiting To Analysis And Presenting Insights.
Strong Understanding Of User-Centered Design Principles And Methodologies, Such As Usability Testing, Contextual Inquiry, And Surveys.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders To Drive Actionable Insights.
