  1. Lead and manage all user research efforts to inform and guide the design of Capital One's products and services.
  2. Develop and implement research strategies and methodologies to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
  3. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including surveys, interviews, and usability tests, to gather user feedback and validate design decisions.
  4. Analyze and synthesize research findings to identify key insights and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  5. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user research is integrated into the design process.
  6. Mentor and guide a team of user researchers, providing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in user-centered design and research, and proactively bring new ideas and approaches to the team.
  8. Advocate for the user and ensure that their needs and perspectives are considered in all design decisions.
  9. Work closely with data analysts to leverage data and analytics to supplement user research findings.
  10. Communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, to influence product and design decisions.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve the user research process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity of thought and promotes innovation in user research.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In User Research, With At Least 3 Years In A Managerial Or Leadership Role.

  • Proven Track Record Of Executing End-To-End User Research Projects, From Planning And Recruiting To Analysis And Presenting Insights.

  • Strong Understanding Of User-Centered Design Principles And Methodologies, Such As Usability Testing, Contextual Inquiry, And Surveys.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders To Drive Actionable Insights.
