Job Description

As a Technical Financial Writer/Writer II, you will be a member of Capital Group’s broader Marketing team and will support the production of creative, customized content for the Defined Contribution (DC) segment of our business. You will support the promotion of our mutual funds and thought leadership to an audience of retirement-plan advisors and consultants. Primarily, you will help promote our target date funds and other mutual funds for use in 401(k) plans. You also will support the development of content to help advisors build and improve their 401(k) practices. You are ready to use your knowledge of investing, quantitative skills and writing talent to support the creation of content on DC-oriented topics ranging from broad industry trends to specific mutual fund results and characteristics.

Job Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of equities, fixed income and the investment industry.

  • Ability to gather, understand and manipulate data in Excel to create charts and tables for communications.

  • Experience with industry data resources is also a plus

  • Demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization, and you are eager to learn about our products, marketing strategy
