  1. Conduct quantitative analysis to identify and measure risk across investment portfolios.
  2. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  3. Utilize advanced statistical and mathematical models to analyze investment data.
  4. Monitor and report on market trends and their potential impact on investment risk.
  5. Communicate risk analysis findings to senior management and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  6. Continuously research and develop new risk measurement techniques and methodologies.
  7. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data used in risk analysis.
  8. Work closely with investment teams to understand their strategies and provide risk assessment.
  9. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the risk analysis process.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to risk management.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance and finance, to ensure adherence to risk management policies and procedures.
  12. Mentor and train junior analysts on risk analysis techniques and processes.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  14. Take ownership of projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Quantitative Analyst In Risk Research, Analysis, And Measurement At Capital Group Companies Should Possess Advanced Analytical Skills, Including Proficiency In Statistical Analysis, Data Mining, And Predictive Modeling. They Should Be Able To Effectively Gather, Organize, And Analyze Large Datasets To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them.

  • Knowledge Of Financial Markets: A Solid Understanding Of Financial Markets And Instruments Is Crucial For A Quantitative Analyst In Risk Research, Analysis, And Measurement. This Includes Knowledge Of Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, And Alternative Investments, As Well As Their Associated Risks.

  • Programming And Technical Proficiency: The Role Of A Quantitative Analyst At Capital Group Companies Requires Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As R, Python, And Sql, As Well As Experience With Statistical Software Packages Such As Sas And Matlab. They Should Also Have Experience With Data Visualization Tools And Be Comfortable Working With Big Data.

  • Risk Management Expertise: Quantitative Analysts Should Have A Strong Background In Risk Management And Be Familiar With Various Risk Measurement Methodologies Such As Var, Stress Testing, And Scenario Analysis.
