- Develop and maintain an application security strategy that aligns with the overall security goals and objectives of the company.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans on all applications to identify and address potential security threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into the development, testing, and deployment processes of all applications.
- Manage and monitor the implementation of security controls and procedures to protect against cyber attacks and data breaches.
- Regularly review and update security policies, standards, and guidelines related to application security.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve the company's application security posture.
- Lead and mentor a team of application security professionals, providing guidance and support on security-related issues.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees on application security best practices.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and partners to ensure the security of externally hosted applications.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on application security metrics, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Participate in the procurement and evaluation of security tools and technologies to enhance the company's application security capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on application security and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
- Continuously assess and improve the company's application security program to mitigate emerging threats and risks.
Extensive Experience In Application Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Application Security, With A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Security Measures For Complex Applications.
Strong Technical Expertise: The Application Security Senior Manager Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Programming Languages, Web Application Security Frameworks, And Security Testing Tools. They Should Also Have Experience With Vulnerability Assessments And Remediation Techniques.
Leadership Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Manage A Team Of Application Security Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading And Mentoring A Team To Ensure The Delivery Of High-Quality Work.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations Such As Owasp, Pci-Dss, And Iso 27001. They Should Also Have Experience Implementing These Standards In A Large Organization.
