1. Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lectures for first-year students in a variety of academic subjects.
2. Create and implement lesson plans that align with the department's curriculum and learning objectives.
3. Provide mentorship and support to first-year students to help them adjust to university life and navigate academic challenges.
4. Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and academic success.
6. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in teaching and learning to continuously improve instruction.
7. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
8. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and events to contribute to the overall success of the department.
9. Provide academic advising and guidance to students, including course selection and career planning.
10. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
11. Serve as a role model and uphold the university's standards of professionalism and academic integrity.
12. Communicate with students and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
13. Actively engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
14. Adhere to all university policies and procedures.
15. Foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment that respects and values the perspectives and experiences of all students.
