
Lecturer Pool - First-Year & University Programs

- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lectures for first-year students in a variety of academic subjects.
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the department's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Provide mentorship and support to first-year students to help them adjust to university life and navigate academic challenges.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and academic success.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in teaching and learning to continuously improve instruction.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and events to contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students, including course selection and career planning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
- Serve as a role model and uphold the university's standards of professionalism and academic integrity.
- Communicate with students and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
- Actively engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment that respects and values the perspectives and experiences of all students.
A Master's Degree Or Higher In A Relevant Field Such As Education, Psychology, Or Communication.
A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Teaching Experience At The University Level, Preferably With First-Year Students.
Demonstrated Expertise In Developing And Delivering Curriculum For First-Year Programs, Including Experience With Student Success Strategies And Academic Support Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With A Diverse Student Population And Collaborate With Colleagues.
A Commitment To Promoting Inclusive And Equitable Teaching Practices, As Well As A Demonstrated Understanding Of Diversity And Social Justice In The Classroom.
