  1. Develop and teach undergraduate courses in economics, incorporating diverse perspectives and instructional methods to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  2. Demonstrate a deep understanding of economic principles and their practical applications, and effectively communicate this knowledge to students.
  3. Utilize innovative and effective teaching methods to enhance student learning and promote critical thinking skills.
  4. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and academic excellence.
  5. Contribute to the overall academic community by conducting research in economics and participating in scholarly activities.
  6. Participate in departmental meetings and committees to support the continuous improvement and development of the economics program.
  7. Maintain a strong commitment to teaching excellence by staying current with developments in the field of economics and incorporating new insights and techniques into course content.
  8. Provide academic advising and support to students, including mentorship and guidance on career opportunities in the field of economics.
  9. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and revise curriculum, assessments, and other learning materials to meet the needs of students.
  10. Engage in service activities within the department, university, and broader community to contribute to the overall mission and goals of CSUSM.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Economics Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Teaching Experience At The University Level, Preferably In Economics.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In A Specific Area Of Economics, Such As Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Or International Economics.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Engage Students From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Commitment To Promoting Diversity, Inclusion, And Equity In The Classroom And Within The University Community.
