- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of campus facilities.
- Monitor and report any issues or concerns related to facility cleanliness and maintenance.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly used, stored, and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and superiors to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns.
- Respond promptly to any emergency cleaning requests or situations.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on cleaning procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
- Follow all university policies and procedures, including those related to sanitation and hygiene.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Previous Experience In Custodial Or Janitorial Work: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Strong Background In Custodial Or Janitorial Work, With A Proven Track Record Of Maintaining Cleanliness And Organization In A Professional Setting.
Knowledge Of Cleaning Products And Techniques: A Thorough Understanding Of Various Cleaning Products And Techniques Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Proper Usage And Safety Protocols For Cleaning Chemicals And Equipment.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: The Job Of A Custodian Often Requires Physical Labor, Such As Lifting And Moving Heavy Objects And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Meet The Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail And Strong Work Ethic: Custodians Are Responsible For Ensuring That All Areas Of The Campus Are Clean And Well-Maintained. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And A Strong Work Ethic To Consistently Meet High Standards Of Cleanliness.
Availability To Work 3Rd Shift: This Position Specifically Requires Candidates To Work The 3Rd Shift, Typically Starting In The Late Evening And Ending In The Early Morning. Candidates Should Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Able To Work Overnight Hours As Needed.
