
Assistant or Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology

Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in speech-language pathology at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Mentor and advise students in the speech-language pathology program.
- Develop and maintain curriculum that aligns with national accreditation standards and reflects current research and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new courses and programs within the department.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including conducting research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at conferences.
- Participate in service activities, including serving on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement outreach initiatives that address the diverse needs of our local and global communities.
- Maintain a current knowledge base in the field of speech-language pathology, including staying informed about current trends and advancements.
- Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, cultural competence, and ethical behavior.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the success of all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching, research, and service skills.
- Maintain a clinical practice and/or engage in clinical supervision of students, as appropriate.
- Comply with all university policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity and diversity and inclusion.
- Contribute to the advancement of the field of speech-language pathology through service to professional organizations and involvement in community outreach and advocacy.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary education and research.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.
Master's Degree Or Higher In Speech-Language Pathology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Active Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).
Minimum Of 3 Years Clinical Experience As A Speech-Language Pathologist.
Demonstrated Experience Teaching At The University Level And/Or Supervising Clinical Practicum Students.
Strong Record Of Research And Publication In The Field Of Speech-Language Pathology.
