Director of Advancement Database Administration

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Advancement Database Administration to join the Advancement Services team at California State University, Fullerton. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for data analysis and management, a commitment to excellence and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the university's advancement databases and for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of data in the system.This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and innovative organization and to make a meaningful contribution to the success of the university's advancement efforts.The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, at least seven years of experience with database administration and management, and a strong understanding of data integrity and accuracy. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce, and/or other advancement databases is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain the university’s advancement databases.
2. Oversee the accuracy and integrity of data in the system.
3. Work both independently and as part of a larger team.
4. Possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Utilize Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce, and/or other advancement databases.
6. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
7. Train users on proper use of the system.
8. Ensure the security of the system and data.
9. Monitor data for accuracy and inconsistencies.
10. Develop and implement processes to improve data quality.
