Associate Dean, Library Collections

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative leader to serve as the Associate Dean of Library Collections at California State University, Fullerton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library collections, especially in a higher education setting, and a commitment to providing quality services to our students, faculty, and staff.This position is responsible for leading, planning, and managing the library’s collections and services. The Associate Dean will develop strategies for collection development and management, as well as supervise related staff. They will also collaborate with other campus departments and library staff to ensure that the library’s collections are best serving the needs of the university community.The successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree in library science or library and information science from an ALA accredited program and a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a library setting, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. They must also demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage and motivate staff.
