- Maintain and optimize the scientific computing systems at the California Institute of Technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the scientific computing systems.
- Collaborate with scientists and researchers to understand their computing needs and provide solutions.
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware components of the scientific computing systems.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions for the scientific computing systems.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for the scientific computing systems.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in scientific computing technology and make recommendations for system improvements.

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Scientific Computing Environment.
Proficiency In Multiple Operating Systems (E.g. Linux, Unix, Windows) And Programming Languages (E.g. Python, Java, C++).
Experience With Cluster Computing, Parallel Processing, And High-Performance Computing.
Strong Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues.
