- Manage and maintain safety equipment and supplies, including emergency response kits and personal protective equipment.

- Develop and maintain relationships with external safety agencies and organizations to stay informed of any new developments or changes in safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other safety professionals and departments within the institute to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Participate in emergency response drills and provide guidance and support during actual emergencies.
- Monitor and analyze data related to safety incidents and provide regular reports to management on safety performance and trends.
- Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for laboratory personnel and assist in developing safety training materials.
- Act as a liaison between researchers and safety regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments for new research projects and provide recommendations for safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and work with relevant teams to implement preventive measures.
Bachelor's Degree In Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Research Or Industrial Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Chemical Safety.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Laboratory Safety, Hazardous Materials, And Waste Management.
Experience Conducting Risk Assessments And Developing Safety Protocols For Laboratory Experiments And Processes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Train Researchers On Proper Safety Procedures And Protocols.
