- Oversee and manage the computing infrastructure for the LIGO Lab, including hardware, software, and networking systems.

- Ensure the smooth operation of all computing systems, identifying and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Work closely with the research team to understand their computing needs and provide solutions to support their work.
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of computing systems.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the computing systems, and make necessary adjustments to meet the evolving needs of the Lab.
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain a budget for the computing department, ensuring efficient use of resources.

- Continuously communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on the status of computing systems and any upcoming changes or improvements.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all data and information stored in the computing systems.
- Act as a liaison between the computing department and other departments within the Lab, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing A Team Of It Professionals.
Extensive Knowledge Of Computer Hardware, Software, And Networking Systems.
Experience With High-Performance Computing And Data Storage Systems.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.
