1. Greet and welcome residents and visitors to the California Institute of Technology housing facilities.
2. Ensure that all common areas, including hallways, lounges, and laundry rooms, are kept clean and well-maintained.
3. Perform daily cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, in individual resident rooms and shared living spaces.
4. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
5. Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the housing facilities.
6. Respond promptly to resident requests for maintenance or cleaning needs, and communicate any necessary repairs to the facilities team.
7. Assist with move-in and move-out processes, including deep cleaning of rooms, disinfecting high touch areas, and organizing and restocking communal spaces.
8. Maintain accurate records of cleaning and maintenance tasks completed, and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
9. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
10. Adhere to all safety and security protocols and report any safety hazards or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
11. Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and colleagues.
12. Attend regular training sessions and team meetings to stay up-to-date on cleaning procedures and policies.
13. Continuously strive to improve the cleanliness and overall appearance of the housing facilities.
14. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of residents.
15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
