  1. Manage the grant application process for faculty and staff at Caltech, ensuring all necessary documents and information are submitted accurately and on time.
  2. Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources to support the institution's research and education goals.
  3. Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop high-quality grant proposals that align with their research and educational objectives.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of grant guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  5. Monitor and track the progress of grant applications, providing regular updates to faculty and staff and taking necessary actions to ensure timely submission.
  6. Work closely with the finance team to develop budgets and financial reports for grant proposals.
  7. Facilitate communication and coordination between faculty, staff, and external funding agencies during the grant application and award process.
  8. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in grant writing and management, and share this knowledge with colleagues.
  9. Assist with post-award management, including tracking project expenses and reporting on grant outcomes and impact.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of all grant applications, awards, and related documentation.
  11. Represent Caltech in a professional and positive manner when interacting with external funding agencies and partners.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and teams at Caltech to support interdisciplinary grant applications and initiatives.
  13. Support the institution's overall fundraising efforts by providing grant writing support and expertise as needed.
  14. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to grant applications and awards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Grant Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Research Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And Private Funding Sources And Regulations, As Well As Experience In Grant Proposal Writing And Budget Development.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Grants And Deadlines Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Faculty, Staff, And Funding Agencies To Ensure Successful Grant Implementation And Reporting.
