We are currently seeking a Finance & Facilities Manager to join our Advancement and Alumni Relations team, responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects of our fundraising efforts and alumni engagement.   1. Manage the financial operations of the Advancement and Alumni Relations department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Oversee the fundraising efforts of the department, including donor management, gift processing, and compliance with financial regulations.
  3. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the goals and objectives of Caltech's fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and university leadership to ensure alignment and coordination of financial goals and objectives.
  5. Manage the facilities and resources of the Advancement and Alumni Relations department, including space planning, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
  6. Implement and monitor policies and procedures for the responsible use of resources and adherence to financial regulations.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the Advancement and Alumni Relations department and other campus departments, providing financial and operational support as needed.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to support fundraising and alumni engagement efforts.
  9. Monitor and analyze financial and operational data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for efficiency and cost-saving measures.
  10. Train, supervise, and evaluate finance and facilities staff to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to departmental goals and objectives.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in finance and facilities management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  12. Promote a positive and collaborative work culture within the Advancement and Alumni Relations team and across the Caltech community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Management, Preferably In A Non-Profit Or Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, And Financial Reporting.

  • Experience In Managing Facilities And Overseeing Operational Functions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Colleagues And External Stakeholders.
