  1. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to campus operations.
  3. Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control panels.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and contractors to plan and execute electrical projects.
  5. Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance and repair logs, and submit reports as required.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment to ensure availability for projects and repairs.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on campus, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and best practices in the field of electrical work.
  9. Train and mentor new Electricians and provide guidance and support to other members of the maintenance team as needed.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
  11. Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address any specific electrical needs for research projects and facilities.
  12. Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and efficient solutions to electrical issues on campus.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of electrical maintenance.
  14. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and other campus members.
  15. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all tasks and projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Electrician License Issued By The State Of California

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Electrician In A Commercial Or Institutional Setting

  • Proficiency In Reading And Interpreting Blueprints And Electrical Diagrams

  • Knowledge Of National Electrical Code (Nec) And Adherence To Safety Regulations And Procedures

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Electrical Systems And Equipment.
