  1. Oversee the operations and development of the Resnick Solar Science and Catalysis Center (SSCC) Facility.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the facility to advance research in solar energy and catalysis.
  3. Manage and allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility.
  4. Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and other stakeholders to identify and support research projects that align with the facility's mission.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and funding agencies to secure additional resources and support for the facility's research initiatives.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of research services.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety protocols, and ethical standards in the operation of the facility.
  8. Stay abreast of advancements and best practices in research facility management and incorporate them into the operations of the SSCC Facility.
  9. Represent the facility at conferences, workshops, and other events to promote its capabilities and achievements.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and units within the institute to promote interdisciplinary research and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: The Director Of The Resnick Sscc Facility Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In A Field Related To Solar Science And Catalysis, Such As Chemistry, Materials Science, Or Engineering. This Level Of Education Is Necessary To Understand The Complex Research And Technologies Involved In The Sscc.

  • Extensive Research Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Conducting Research In The Field Of Solar Science And Catalysis. This Includes A Track Record Of Publications, Successful Grant Applications, And Experience Leading And Managing Research Projects.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As The Director Of The Sscc Facility, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Entire Operation And Managing A Team Of Researchers And Support Staff. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
